June 22, 5:00 PM. Mony and I were talking with Adi about some papers and how to do something. We had just come back from a seven-day EF hack trip in Bangalore.

Adi is a 17-year-old kid running residencies. His thing is called Forge.

Meet Adi. He is kind of funny, looks 14, is balding, but is a fun guy. He is the founder of Forge, a month-long residency for young founders. They live there, have fun, and try to build a generational company. I still have no idea what Adi or Forge gets out of this, but I get free food and a nice place to stay with all my friends, so I am happy.

I got to Bangalore, took two naps in the cab, and was still ten minutes away from the Forge house. Classic Bangalore, isn’t it?

People at Forge

These are just my impressions of the people in the house. Everyone is cracked in their own way.

Waris. I met him randomly in an elevator. We talked for an hour in the middle of our hack at 12 a.m., became friends, and the next day I was staying at his house. We have been friends since then. Crazy smart guy, and he matches my vibe. He says this very funny but true thing: “If I wasn’t Waris, I’d be Chaitanya.” Same for me: if I wasn’t Chaitanya, I’d be Waris. My second-favorite guy in the house after Mony, obviously.

Abhist. Funniest guy I have ever met in my life. Apparently his nani lives 20 metres from my house. Do not give him BuzzBallz or he goes crazy. We have had a lot of chats and fun. He is insanely cracked at neuromorphic compute, and also a lover of Lightspeed VC (sarcastic).

Adithyaa. Cool guy. Super-cool product. Love Taan. Fun guy to talk to, lovely personality. Love him.

Aryan Pahwani. Fun guy. Good friend. Technically, practically, kind of, publicly, absolutely: flew me out, made out, did.

Aryan Shah. Quiet, though I have talked with him a lot. Thanks to Dhilbar for introducing us. Nice guy; Sachee’s “best friend.”

Harshit. I first saw him on Discord, found his X, and saw that he had worked with Argide, my friend Eshaan’s startup. They make the fastest customer-support browser-use agents. We talked on Discord for ten-ish minutes, then met at the house. Very sweet guy with great vibes.

Krish. I do not know him much. He is smart, and somehow more Indian than any Indian I know, despite having been a Brit his whole life.

Riza. Kid. Short. Maybe smart. Scared of going alone in a cab, sometimes very awkward, and working on a terrible product.

Sacheee. I do not know if she is part of Forge. I first met her at Aryan and Waris’s house. She is kind to everyone, smart at sales, and apparently makes great banana bread. Sachesmells.

Shubh. Cursor ambassador, and the guy who gave Vedant Azure creds. Bihar to Imperial College. That is all I know.
